Hour of Code

Celebrate the 5th annual Hour of Code™ with 180+ countries and tens of millions of students around the world on December 4-10, during Computer Science Education Week.  As an introduction to computer science or a much anticipated annual celebration, it’s a great way to commemorate Computer Science Education Week.

Hour of Code™ is designed to encourage students to spend one communal hour learning to program.  Lessons are pre-made, easy-to-use, and created in engaging environments that are themed to reach all levels of learners and interests and provide for coding in a 1:1 environment, a 1 computer classroom, or a no computer classroom!  Coding develops the 21st-century skills of problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity.  Hour of Code™ is designed to set students up for success and stimulate interest in computer science careers, particularly for females and other underrepresented student populations.  Register your participation, review the how to guide, try out the tutorials and select one for your students, pick an hour, and Enjoy!
